About Us

La Maternelle is a bilingual French – English Group Family Daycare licensed by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. We provide a safe and personalized learning environment for up to 12 children age 6 weeks through 6 years old and afterschool program.

Our Philosophy

We are dedicated and committed to our children by providing exceptional education, high quality care, safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate childcare with focus on the individual child’s age and ability to stimulate social well-being , cognitive , physical and emotions growth. Most importantly to make them understand that they are being loved and treated with kindness by their teachers (caregiver). Because we strongly believe that teaching young children to be kind, loving, caring and be part of the community is more important than learning their ABC’s and 123’s at this age. It is our belief that a childcare facility should be an extension of each child's family. Our teachers and parents are encouraged to work together to provide the love and support needed as your child reaches developmental milestones and his/her own personal achievements! We are passionate about education and providing our children with the tools to be successful in life.

The Environment

We strive to provide a clean, safe and educational environment for young children and their families. Within our care, children develop skills that promote physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth. We believe in being supportive of our parents and we welcome their positive involvement and presence at all times. We further believe that within our environment, children can thrive and have the opportunity to blossom into responsible and contributing members of our society.

Our Staff

We require on-going training for our staff through state classes, orientation videos, in-house training, and other certified professionals in the education field. All of our staff is trained in First Aid and CPR. 

Meals

We provide nutritious food (breakfast, lunch and two times snack). Our foods are home cooked food and fresh and most of them are organic. We make sure your little one eat healthy at Lamaternelle.
