About Us

La Maternelle de Park Slope is a French–English bilingual Group Family Daycare licensed by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. We provide a safe, personalized learning environment for children from six weeks through six years old, along with an enriching after-school program.

Our Philosophy

We believe every child deserves exceptional care, meaningful learning experiences, and a nurturing environment where they feel safe, loved, and respected. Our approach supports each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development while honoring individual abilities and developmental stages.

The Environment

We provide a clean, safe, welcoming, and educational environment where young children can grow and thrive. Through play, exploration, and age-appropriate learning, children build physical, emotional, social, and cognitive skills. We value positive family involvement and work closely with parents to support each child’s development.

Our Staff

Our staff members participate in ongoing professional development through state-approved classes, orientation programs, in-house training, and sessions led by certified education professionals. All staff members are trained in First Aid and CPR.

Meals

We provide nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Meals are freshly prepared and home-cooked, with organic ingredients used whenever possible. We are committed to helping children develop healthy eating habits from an early age.
